If she was a student of high school, she did imaging research with Purdue University professors. she learned about Event Horizon Telescope in 2007 in her school.
Katie developed an algorithm known as High-resolution Image Reconstruction using Patch priors. through this algorithm, we could see an image of the supermassive black hole inside the core of the galaxy.
